Minor Mishap
If you visit regularly you will have noticed that The FontFeed was down for 24 hours or so. Wednesday afternoon the development team in San Francisco were making a series of configuration changes to the site. At some point they discovered that something had gone awry, and the most recent articles were missing. The site was set into maintenance mode while they restored the code and database to working condition.
I am happy to report The FontFeed is up and working again. Although the problems have been solved and the database which houses all the FontFeed article content is intact, it appears that images of many recent posts went missing. I will need a little time to restore those missing images, starting with the latest posts and working my way backwards from there. This means that to my regret I won’t be able to post anything new before the weekend. To quote John Lennon:
Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.
I have some very yummy stuff coming up, so please bear with us.

Already fixed the following posts late last night:
Sep.23.09 | Very Early Registration For Typ09 Ends Tomorrow
Sep.23.09 | Trailer For Heroine, A New Typeface From Fountain
Sep.23.09 | Foundry Focus: Moretype
I’ll try to do as many as possible before I start posting new stuff again. I’ll keep you posted about my progress in this comment thread. Please keep in mind that other posts may have images missing, and that viewing them may cause performance issues (very slow or incomplete load).
i wondered what happened :-)
also i love that header image!
I like our working relationship with fStop Images. They have some great slightly offbeat images to suit any subject. I used their images for a couple of posts already.
Does anyone else see an uppercase E (including bracketed serifs) made by the darker burn marks on the slice of toast? Well, I suppose it beats seeing an image of the virgin Mary in a cinnamon Danish.
Mishap? I thought toast was meant to come down that way…
i see the E in the toast!!!
Oh dear, I think we may have a typo-religious cult on our hands… :P
I think all the posts have been restored. If anyone comes across a post with missing images, please notify me. Thank you for your patience.
